The University of Arkansas is pleased to announce an NCATE-Accredited, online degree program in Curriculum and Instruction for the educational professional. The Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) is an undifferentiated specialist degree in education with the following areas of specialization in Curriculum and Instruction:
The Ed.S. can be completed completely online or can include courses from the on-campus program. Coursework from both settings is accepted to complete the student's program of study. The Ed.S. program is designed for those persons who have a master's degree in education and who wish to pursue an advance degree beyond the M.Ed. or MAT.
The program can be delivered entirely on the Internet, allowing you the opportunity to pursue your educational goals at a time and place that fits your schedule. If one prefers on campus coursework, courses are offered during the day and evenings in the summer and in the evenings during the fall and spring semesters.
Nationally recognized faculty provides the instruction for the program. The program is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and received national recognition from the Association of Teacher Educators (ATE) in the 2001 as the Distinguished Program in Teacher Education. The Ed.S. is offered as a graduate program by the College of Education and Health Professions and is administered by the School of Continuing Education & Academic Outreach and the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
