Special Education Additional Licensure Program (ALP) can be completed online or can include courses from the on campus program. Both types of coursework are accepted in the ALP program. The online program is designed to meet the Additional Licensure Program (ALP) in Special Education for those licensed professionals seeking an additional license in Special Education in grades 4-12. The program is delivered on the Internet, allowing you the opportunity to pursue your educational goals at a time and place that fits your schedule. A minimum of two ALP courses are offered online each semester.
Nationally recognized faculty provides the instruction for the program. The program is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and received national recognition from the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), the organization that accredits teacher education programs in Special Education. The ALP program prepares the teacher as an Instructional Specialist in Special Education for grades 4-12.
